Barack Obama's Inspiring Inauguration Speech

Some 'neo-religious' thoughts inspired by Barack Obama's inauguration speech:

What you might call 'The godly' or the force for good appears among us humans with a mixture of self-confidence, courage and humble realism. The 'satanic' in turn shows as nagging doubt, dejection and illusion. It is not by chance that these illusions are always full of laming fears or regardless grandiosity. So the godly is the force of positivism (in the scientific sense and in a moral one), the devilish the force of negativism (despondence, cynicism, aggressive intolerance and subjugation...). So, on the one side is love, awareness and adaptive intelligence, on the other phobia, numbness and brutality. Taking care of the Other in a committed way shines on a dark backdrop of self-content denial of its right to exist.

In this sense the star-wars-benediction "Be the Force with You!" is a true expression of the best wishes with which you can support someone else. In that sense also the godly is the power of love, the love, that assures you: "Yes, you can!" It is the power that supports life! It is that great parental reservoir of encouragement and backing-up, into which we tap, when we need it! To feel this force you may join hands with others in silence, close your eyes and let it flow into you and out of you, because the unity of humans is our closest means of experiencing the bliss of integration.

Barack Obama is a man, who embodies this kind of humble self-confidence and loving integration with a sovereign environment, he acknowledges as such, most touchingly expressed in the way how he reaches out to join hands with his wife, who, as his equal, walks proudly at his side (not like a puppet under the wings or in the shadow of some dominating male... Compare them? Here!). This realistic self-confidence, instilled into him by his mother, enables the man to do the most improbable, yet possible things! May the force continue to be with him!
